After the small packs kept running out on me, I got this 48-piece pack, and it was the right decision. It lasts a whole season of boat trips. Lights instantly, even if the wood is a little damp. I recommend it to anyone who often lights fires outdoors!
Bought it together with charcoal so I could light the grill without lighter fluid. The compact pack sits neatly by the grill, and one piece is enough. It burns exactly as long as promised, so the coals catch without any effort. Easy to take along on a hike too!
I'll get this 1kg box again. I've been grilling for 20 years, and I've finally given up lighter fluid completely, one piece and the coals get going on their own. The food has no chemical aftertaste, and my family noticed it right away. The bag is large and lasts a long time. Hats off to customer support too, we arranged it and I picked it up right there in Jelgava...
I took tourists on a boat trip, and in the evening we had to light a campfire. It was pouring rain and the wood was wet, but these firestarters caught from the very first match and burned long enough for the wood to take. No chemicals, just wood and wax, and people liked the smell too. My only mistake was taking the small packs; next time I'll take...
Took it along on a hike. Lit on the first try, even in wet weather. Super!
Lights instantly, burns long. Perfect for the fireplace. Recommend!
For the grill and the fireplace. No chemicals, lights easily. Lasts a long time.
I've been grilling for 20 years, and these alder charcoals are without a doubt the best I've used. I spotted them at a grilling festival where a grill expert recommended them, and now I understand why, they heat up fast, hold the temperature for a long time and barely smoke. I partly think the meat turns out better also because, on the recommendation, I light them with wood w...
The perfect size for our small grill. Made in Latvia, no chemicals, and that matters to me. We ordered just before Līgo, we were a little surprised it arrived so fast, the meat didn't taste of chemicals. The small packs also store easily for next time, and most importantly my husband and his friends were happy with the charcoal choice ♡
The charcoal is very good, little smoke, holds the heat for a long time. The only thing was a little fine dust at the bottom of the bag, which is probably unavoidable during transport. It didn't get in the way of grilling. Overall satisfied and I'll buy again.
Heats up fast, holds the heat for a long time. The alder gives a pleasant aroma to fish. Made in Latvia, I support it!
Good charcoal for family grilling, the flavour is excellent. For one long evening with guests the pack was too small, so next time I'll get the large one. The charcoal itself is excellent.
For the large root bed this pack came right on time. I mulched all the beds, and the result is visible, less watering, fewer weeds, softer soil. I like that everything is from one material, even if you can see the difference visually, bedding for animals and mulch in the garden, and both end up in the compost.
I took the small pack to try under strawberries in the greenhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised. The berries stay clean, don't touch the soil and don't rot, and moisture in the soil lasts longer. Noticeably fewer weeds. Next season I'll get a bigger pack for all the beds.
I use it as mulch for cucumbers and zucchini. The soil under the cover stays moist even on hot days, so I water less often. I'm buying it for the second year running, the fruit is clean and doesn't touch the wet soil. A natural material that simply goes into the compost at the end of the season. Very satisfied.
Recommend it, the weeds didn't like the cover and we protected the harvest in an area invaded by Spanish slugs. Reliable protection throughout the whole season.
I bought it for my daughter's guinea pigs in addition to the large dog pack. The bedding isn't dusty, which was the main thing for me. It absorbs moisture quickly and smells of wood, not of a cage. For rabbits and hamsters that love to dig and build nests, this will be ideal!
For rabbit cages the large pack is the most cost-effective solution. Hypoallergenic, dust-free, as I read online, and the animals started digging right away. It absorbs moisture and dries quickly, so lately the cages seem to stay drier and cleaner. After use everything goes into the compost. Very satisfied.
I raise rabbits, and this wood wool is the best I've tried. No dust, no smell, and the rabbits feel at home, they spread and arrange everything themselves. A large pack lasts a very long time. I won't be going back to straw for bedding.
At first I wasn't sure whether a 5kg pack could be picked up at a parcel locker, so I called, they answered right away and confirmed that it could. A very convenient solution, no need to drive anywhere. The bedding for the dog bed is soft, dry and lasted really long before it needed changing. Very satisfied with the purchase and the service.
I have a German Shepherd that lives in an outdoor kennel, so it was important to create a warm and dry sleeping spot. On Instagram I saw that KOWOOL supports Ulubele in a charity campaign, we donated one large pack to the shelter and bought one to try ourselves. We couldn't be happier! There's no damp feeling in the kennel, we don't even con...
A good size for one dog, and the material really lasts a long time. At first the pack looked a bit compressed after transport, but once you opened and fluffed it, the volume was exactly as promised. The dog sleeps warm and dry. A small note about delivery, but the product itself is excellent.
Bought wood wool for my German Shepherd's kennel. The dog lives outdoors, so it was important to create a pleasant sleeping environment. The product pleasantly surprised me, there's no damp feeling in the kennel, and I fluff up the wool now and then to keep it airy. Importantly, nothing gets carried out of the kennel into the yard, everything stays clean. With straw, which had been...
About how often do you need to fully change the bedding in a dog house in winter? We've currently used about half the pack, the material is still dry, clean and springy, and our boy sleeps warm. We're very satisfied, I just want to understand the optimal change frequency, because the material still looks like new!
I keep chickens and a few goats, and I use this wood wool in the barn and the chicken coop. It absorbs moisture very well, and the smell is considerably less than with straw. When I change it, everything goes into the compost and returns to the garden, nothing is wasted. Thank you Kowool for being so responsive!
I buy it for filling gift baskets, and the green wood wool looks gorgeous, exactly the colour needed for festive baskets. Natural, light, dust-free and holds its shape beautifully. Customers always ask where I get such lovely filling.
An ideally small pack to try out. I use it for packing jars and candles as gifts, soft, natural and it smells of wood, indescribably, like my grandfather's sawmill. It doesn't scratch anything, and the unboxing looks tasteful. Exactly what I was looking for.
A beautiful, pure green colour and works great for Easter decor. The only thing, the 200g pack is quite small, and I ran out quickly, so next time I'll get several. No complaints about the product itself, I just wish I'd realised right away that I'd need more.
When the small pack ran out, I immediately got the large 10kg one, I send a lot of parcels a week, and this is much more cost-effective. The material is clean, doesn't crumble as badly as the alternatives and doesn't create dust in the warehouse. Customers like that everything is natural and compostable. I recommend it to every small business.
Is this also suitable for packing food products, for example eggs or jars of honey? I like the material, clean and dust-free. I'm taking off one star only because I'd like clearer info in the description about contact with food. Otherwise a great packaging material.
An excellent product, exactly what's needed for larger shipments. The only note, the courier delivered a day later than promised, but that's probably not the shop's fault. The wool itself is clean and springy, I'll definitely order again when it's running low.
I have a small online shop with fragile handmade items, and I switched to wood wool packaging. The goods no longer break in transit, and customers write about how beautiful and natural the unboxing looks. The fine structure is soft but holds its shape wonderfully. It completely replaces bubble wrap. Thank you to the Kowool owner for being so responsive!
I got it for bulkier and heavier goods, and it does the job excellently. The fibre is more durable and fills the gaps in boxes well, so nothing moves during transport. At this price 30kg is a great deal. Recommend it to everyone.
I send a lot of parcels for my shop, and the 10kg bag is worth its weight in gold. The fine wool cushions well, the goods don't get scratched, and there's practically no dust. It stores compactly. Quality is consistent from pack to pack. Thank you to the Kowool team for being so responsive and for the consultation!
